Spot loan
I have followed the directions on Spot Loans and cancelled the ACH etc. They sent me a letter back stating basically they are not illegal and I "knew what I was getting into when I took the loan"... I have overpaid the principal by about $83. I don't want them to sue me, are they still an illegal tribal lender in Tennessee. I'm really getting worried Please help!!!

Spot loan is considered illegal in Tennessee. So, they do not possess the right to sue you.
Rather you can ask them to pay back $83 you have overpaid to them.

Since they are not legal, they can't sue you. Ask for the refund. They might give it back.

Spot loan is still illegal. And, they have to give you a refund. That is their standard reply. Not a big problem. And, tell them that you didn't know that the loan is illegal. Otherwise, you wouldn't have borrowed in the first place. And, they can't sue you. The loan itself is illegal.
