Plain green loans – Is it an illegal company?

I have an internet loan from Plain Green Loans for $1000. I have already paid over $700 and still have 6 payments of $242 left which means $1452 left to pay. I called and told them I knew they were a tribe and illegal in PA my state and told them I only wanted to pay the principal. I asked them to remove my bank account information so it wasn\'t taken out of my bank and they said they did, but they said I still owe the regular payment on time. I asked for payment arrangements for remaining balance on principal and the guy was firm and said I had to pay full amount back. My question is..how do I make them understand I am only going to pay back principal. also I am afraid they will take money out of account if I don\'t pay. I don\'t want to close my account because its a workplace banking account with good benefits. Any help or advice you can offer?

Listen, if you took the loan then it would be a great idea to pay a little extra on it every payday.

Even an extra $50 a month will make a huge difference with a high interest loan.

These loans are designed for people with poor credit that can't obtain a personal loan through other sources. As others have said, they let you know in the loan agreement how much you will be paying back so the borrower is aware of the terms up front.

I had numerous loans through Plain Green and never had a problem. They were very clear about the terms of the loan. I agreed to those terms and I got my money. I paid the loan off early, which greatly reduced my interest, and got another loan. If they were still alliwed to do business in PA, I'd definitely use them again.

I used Plain Green Loans a few times. I always new my pay back amount would be 4 or 5 times the amount I borrowed. They never misrepresented themselves in any way. I always paid my loan off early which greatly reduced the interest. If they were alliwed to do business in PA, Id definitely use them again if I needed to. They were always very helpful when I had questions or concerns. If your getting a loan on the internet you should already know that the interest is going to be high. Its not the companies fault that people dont take the time to get informed about the loan agreement. They want the money now and dont consider the consequences of not reading or understanding the loan agreement. Educate yourself before using an online loan company. You can save yourself and the loan companies alit if headaches.

I live in Nevada and have a high interest loans from a non-Native american lender. I would never once cry about the high interest rate because I was well aware of it when I endorsed the agreement. Same goes for a post dated check and title loans. I have paid them all of and I agree I am probably behind because of them but at the time I needed the help, Christmas, utility shutoff, vehicle repairs, and even once to get a quick few dollars for a don payment on a vehicle. The money was there and I tried the bank before for a personal loan and I had to jump through so many hoops and the agreement to me ended up being so inflexible that I never went through that process again. I prefer the quick no questions asked approach. The key is to pay back the loan as soo as possible. You ever see hom much credit card companies and mortgage companies make also when your debt to them is paid it is also a kick in the nuts. Altogether you are in charge of your credit and money sitiuation. You pay the loan off and it is a star in your credit report. That I can appreciate and is the silver lining. You would never catch me ripping off a white man and I guarantee you they wouldnt hesitate to come after and place a lien on my property. Society is full of sharks. At every level. Don't sign the agreement if you cant pay the money back. It is your name you will ruin, it is an I.O.U. and you must repay.

Posting on the internet doesn't make it go away, It's a high interest loan no fine print. If you agree to the terms and then default then shame on you. No crying foul . Thats what is wrong with  people now days, everyones looking for a loophole. No one feels sorry for you .

When you apply for the loan they tell you up front that is an expensive form of credit. If you can find other means to get the money then do so. They tell you how much the interest rate is up front and they tell you what the payment will be so if you don't want to take the loan and pay all of that money then don't. If you can read then you should have known all of this before you signed and accepted the loan.  No one to blame but yourself. It is not the company's fault and you should know the laws of your state before applying for online loans.

The governor & AG in NY State just sent them & their collectors a Cease & Desist Letter . They want Plain Green out of the state & could careless if you've paid the principle back! The loan is void & uncollectible here!

Don't listen to the people boo hoo hooing about poor Indians and how they got to make a living by ripping you off or also that you made a contract.  It is not a contract if it is illegal ever.  Payday loans are illegal in PA, and you only have to pay back the principal.
