What state do you live in? What is the name of the pdl company? How much did you borrow from them? Is your lender licensed in your state?

You can close your account and get a new one. If the payday loan is legal and you stop making payments, then the lender can file a civil suit against you. If the loan is illegal, then they won't be able to do anything to you. So, your first job is to find out if the lender is legit in your state.
