Will the companies give us credit cards in future?

I have received bankruptcy discharge few years back. My house was also foreclosed by the lender. I am unemployed right now. My wife is working right now. We had some credit cards in the past. We included these cards in bankruptcy. Actually, we didn’t have any option at that point of time. My question is will these companies agree to give credit cards to us in future?

It is not likely that the credit card companies that you filed bankrutcy on will give you a new card now or anytime in the future.  However there are tons of different credit card comapnies around to get new credit from IF you really need it.

No, probably they won't. Your credit situation is too bad for getting a credit card. Boost your credit score, save enough money and then think of getting a card.

Tell us the exact time when you received bankruptcy discharge? What kind of bankruptcy have you filed? Is it Chapter 7 bankruptcy or Chapter 13 bankruptcy? Chapter 7 bankruptcy will remain on your credit report for 10 years where as Chapter 13 bankruptcy will remain on your credit report for 7 years. As such, you will have to take the necessary steps to boost your credit score so that you can become credit worthy soon. Only when your credit score will get improved, the credit card companies may provide you credit cards in future.
