Want to lead a debt-free wedding life

I am taking my wedding vows on 25th October 2012. I have 2 credit cards. One is Chase - $15,000 and the other is Amex - $18,000. I have around $5000 in my checking account. I am saving some amount for my wedding. I want to pay off these cards before my wedding. How can I do it? I will have to bear the expenses of honeymoon. Should I skip it?

Well, I think you should consult a credit counselor. The counselor can suggest you the ways to tackle your debt problems. You may also get help of debt relief programs in this regard. The debt consultants can tell you if it is possible to get out of debt within the next 13 months. I think it is better to not have a lavish wedding ceremony. Skip honeymoon if required.

We cannot really help you without more information.  What type of income do you have?  Expenses?  It is 13 months until your wedding...do you have the income to pay of $33K plus afford a wedding and honeymoon??
