Settle medical bills

Hi there… recently, my grandchild went through a surgery. Though he has an insurance, we had an out of pocket payments of $5,000 was reached. I asked the hospital for a discount but they said that they never accept settlements on accounts.

However, they said that they will either accept the payment of the entire bill or will set up a payment plan but they won’t offer any discounts.

Do you think that I should try again with the help of a professional debt relief company? Or is this possible that they won’t deal at all?

Was this your copay?  If so, then they probably wont settle.

Yeah you may try to arrange a better repayment plan with them. If it seems difficult for you to afford the payment plan, then you may get help from a profession debt relief company. This company will then negotiate with the hospital on your behalf.
