My wife and I just got married and she put my name

My wife and I just got married and she put my name on her bank account. I just received a notice of judgement from 2009 saying that they are freezing our account, what can I do to get the accoutn unfrozen. I was not aware of the judgement until we received the letter form the bank.

If a judgment has been issued, then you'll have to pay it off. Your account will not be unfrozen until you pay off the judgment. 


Did you recevie a summons?  You need to check with with the legal department of the bank to check which county the judgment was rendered in...then check the online dockets to find out how they claimed to have served you.  If you were not served, you can motion the court to set aside the judgment  based on improper service.
