i recieved a call this morning from eaton atty associated with midland funding. I ower 1200.00. they left a message on the machine. what happens after that. they just said they it is an attempt to collect a debt. is there any way this can be settled for less?
If you fail to appear on the date of hearing, then the court may issue a judgment against you. The collection agency will then get the right to garnish your wages or place a lien on your property.
If you are served and fail to appear in the court on the stipulated date, then you are most likely to lose the case. The collection agency will win the case and the judgment will go against you.
