Is there anything I can do at this point to get this item off my report?

I paid a debt after it went to collections. Of course the item remains on my credit report as having gone to a collection agency but is paid. Is there anything I can do at this point to get this item off my report?

Yes, I agree with the previous poster. You cannot do anything to get the item deleted from your credit report other than requesting them to do so. Try to make them understand that deleting the negative items from your credit report will help you to improve your credit score.

Yeah…negative items remain on your credit report for 7 years from the date of your first default. You may try to remove it from your credit report by requesting to the collection agency. But it entirely depends on their discretion whether or not to accept your request. But you can tell them to update your account status as “Paid-in-full”.

You can make a request to them for the removal of the item from your credit report. However, they are not bound to do so,

No, you cannot do anything to get this item off your report. It will only show a paid status.
