Is it applicable for me also?

I have taken out a title loan about 3 years ago. I was not able to payback the debts in full. Now my lender is threatening me to file a lawsuit against me and garnish my wages. What can I do? I came to know that if SOL period has expired, the lender can’t take any legal action. Is it applicable for me also?

I live in California. My last payment was on 7/25/2008. My title loan was secured against my motor car. Anyways thanks for your answer.

It is unlikely that your SOL has expired if you borrowed 3 years ago. When was the date of your last payment?  What state are you in?  Since your title loan was secured by most likely by a vehicle, are they threatening to take that??
