In 2008 I signed up with Credit Solutions from Texas to help me with my debt. They advised me not to make any payments to the creditors and not answer the phone. They told me to have the creditors call Credit Solutions. After 2 to 3 months I found it they were just collecting money from my checking account and after getting a stockpile of money then they begin to negotiate with a credit card company. In the mean time I am getting nasty phone call and demanding payment. Shortly after I called them to call there services and demanded my money back. I didn't get all of it. I ended up negotiating with the credit card companies myself and got a better response from them. I had 5 credit card companies to pay and not I owe less then 5k with 2 now. My question is should I send an explanation to the credit bureaus what happened. Dealing with those people only destroyed my credit

Hi mare,

You can contact your the credit bureaus and explain your situation to them. It will depend upon them whether or not they will consider your request and remove those negative items from your credit report. I will suggest you to contact your credit card companies and negotiate with them so that they update your account status in your credit report. If they inform the credit bureaus, it will be of great help to you.

Take care.
