I'm being sued by an out of state collector and wo

I'm being sued by an out of state collector and would like to fight the suit because it is the wrong amount. Should I use a "plain defense" or Affirmative answer and which would be best?

I think it will be best to use the plain defense.

How do you know it is the wrong amount?  You are aware that interest, court and legal fees will inflate your balance significatly.

Is it an out of state collector suing you or an attorney in your state?
