You'll be able to consolidate your debts again. Contact the company first. Ensure that you make timely payments from now onwards. Have you got a job or do you have a regular source of income now? If you don't have any income, then it will be very difficult to make payments.

You must be aware of the fact that though debt consolidation boosts your credit score, it can work against you if you stop making payments on time. Therefore, if you again work with a debt management plan, make sure you pay the monthly installments on time to avoida  hit on your credit score.

Hi Cathleen,

You may be able to consolidate your loans provided you make the payments on time. You will have to contact the debt consolidation company and inform them about your financial situation and negotiate with them so that they can negotiate with your creditors again and set up a new payment plan for you which will make it easier for you to pay off the debts.

Take care.

You were in a debt management plan?

Your creditors may not agree to a subsequent plan.  These are questions you should be asking of the company you were working with.
