I have no income as of right now, and I have a $4,000 debt to pay off with Chase. Is there any way they can freeze the account and stop the interest from growing? Until I find a job?

I don't think so. You should contact Chase and inform them about your financial situation. They may agree to arrange a suitable repayment plan for you.

Nope.  They may have a hardship program but you would have to be making payments.
