I had a loan with CashCall, for $2500, I repaid almost $5000 back as scheduled payments and then went delinquent due to nonpayment. Interest on loan was 96% with final cost of almost $10,000 in total. Now they are calling me threatening they will take me to court to collect another $2000. Seeing how this is an unsecured / predatory loan, will they really take me to court? Will they have a good chance of winning?

Cash Call is illegal in several states. So, find out if they are licensed in your state. Check the payday loan laws in your state too. If they are illegal, then they can't take you to the court.

You haven’t mentioned the name of your state. That’s why it’s very difficult to say whether or not pdl company is licensed in your state. If not, then you are required to payback them only the principal. Ask them for the refund, as you have overpaid them. Close your bank account immediately to stop unauthorized withdrawal.Illegal lenders can't take any legal action against you.
