Hi! I have been reading your posts and you seem to know a lot. I have a Cap1 card with a balance of 13k that I have not paid in 3 months. I just can't lost my job, husband lost his job we have nothing. Got a letter today from NCO Financial asking for the full amount. I would like to settle for less. How do I go about it? Can I mail them a letter asking for a settlement? Do I call them? Do I call Cap1?
Any info you can give me is greatly appreciated.
Thanks and God bless

You can contact with the NCO Financial and request them for the settlement. But it depends on their discretion whether or not to agree with you for settlement. You may also get help from a professional debt relief company.

I am trying to sell a bunch of stuff and will borrow from a relative. How do I go about settling? Do I just call them and offer it? Do I call Cap1? Help!!!

You have $6500 on hand to settle with them??  50% is an average settlement.
