OhioGal1 is right. You will have to repay your all outstanding debts. Otherwise they can file a lawsuit against you because of non-payment of debt. Once the court issues an order against you, they can garnished your wages or place a lien on your property.

If you owe a debt, you should repay it.  Leaving the country isn't an excuse for not paying your debts.
