Can I dispute an item reported by the illegal lender?

I have stopped making payments to an illegal lender. I have paid back the principal amount already. I will not pay an extra amount to the lender. Now the lender has reported the item to the credit bureau. Can I dispute the item?

Can I ask what lender it is?  I'm dealing with one now -Plain Green.  I wondered if they report to the credit bureau.

Illegal lenders won’t be able to report to the credit bureaus. If they do so, then inform this matter to the credit bureaus. If you have any documents which prove that the lenders are illegal, then show it before the credit bureaus. I hope they will consider your situation and remove that item form your credit report.
