Am I making the right decision in transferring debt to my name?

I and my wife have a joint credit card. The outstanding balance on the credit card is quite high. This is why I am thinking of transferring the balance to another credit card. My husband’s credit score is not good. So, I am thinking to open the new credit card account in my name. Is it a good decision? Any advice or suggestion is welcome.

I have good credit score. In that case, there won't be any problem in getting a credit card. Am I right?

This is a good decision provided you find a credit company willing to approve your application for a card with bad credit since now days creditors review the credit score to determine whether or not you will be able to repay the loan. However, there is a way if there is will. Shop around well and look for a creditor who are specialise in giving out credit cards to people with poor credit score.

Do you have good enough credit to open another line??  Lenders are not giving out what they used to.  Really all you are doing it moving debt around...it is not solving the issue of how much you owe.
