going to court for debt i owe what to expect
I live in New Hampshire and have a court date next week for a debt i owe to finger hut. I admitted i do owe them what can i expect to happen in court ? Never have i done this before and was'nt sure what exactly to expect. will they except payment arrangements i assumed that was the purpose of going to court. any info would be helpful thanks in advance
A week before court is a little late to be disputing the debt. It is possible they may accept payment arrangements They may approach you outside of the court room to work out a settlement.

Before checking the SOL, don't acknowledge a debt. However, you have already acknowledged it. So, talk to them and convince them to settle the debts. prove that you are dealing with financial hardship.

They will try to win the case and get a judgment against you. Once they win judgment, you'll lose the case and your wages will be garnished. You can try to contact them and settle debt put of court. But this is only possible when they are ready for a negotiation.
