Dealing With Collection Agencies

Paid CreditOne charge off

Hello all, I hope everyone is staying safe, here is my question. I received a random text from LVNV saying that my CreditOne account had been sold to LVNV Funding. Here is the issue, prior to getting this text, I had paid my two accounts for the full amount due and CreditOne accepted payment and cashed my checks, but when I called them they said the account was already charged off. I'm not really sure what my next step should be. Any advice is most welcome.
