You can possibly sue them for FDCPA violations and you should get a NACA attorney to look into the matter. If you want to skip out on all that you can just send CCR a C&D letter. Did CCR put something on your credit report? If they did, you should dispute it in writing with the CRAs.

Yes, you can sue them but before that you must ask for a DV letter from the collection agency.
