Will the paid or settled judgment lower my FICO?

I have a judgment which has been on my credit file since 2008. I wanted to know if I pay the judgment, will it affect my FICO score? Or if a settlement is agreed upon, how will it affect my FICO score? Will the paid or settled judgment lower my FICO?

No, judgments don't have any impact on your credit score. Adverse public records, which include bankruptcies, judgments and tax liens, are considered by the FICO score.

Paying a judgment will not do anything to your score.
