Negative items are there on my credit report even after not using credit for 10 years

My credit was in a very bad shape after college. I lived without any credit for 10 years. I was planning to rebuild credit since most of the negative items must have fallen from the credit report. Gosh! I was utterly wrong. The negative items are still there on my credit report. Some of them are credit card accounts. I have not used those credit card accounts for the last 10 years. But, there are incorrect dates on my credit report.

What should I do in this situation? Should I dispute with the credit bureaus? It's so disgusting!!

Well, in that case you have to dispute the items with credit bureaus all over again.

Ok. I will dispute the items. But, what will happen if the credit bureaus refuse to delete the items from my credit report.

Dispute them with the credit bureaus as obsolete.
