Debt has crossed the credit report. Why is it still there on my report?

My debt has crossed the SOL period but it is still there on my credit report. Why is it so? What steps should I take to remove the account from my credit report?

well the legal reportin period for a debt is 7.5yrs.the SOL period may well be shorter, but legally it can stay for 7.5yrs.so the place is most likely reporting legally, and therefore there is nothing you can do until then.in fact the entry should have a date when it will drop off your CR.
