I lost my job in September 2008 and have not making any payment to it until now. the loan originally being deffered until June 2011. I also have a co signer. can the government garnish my wages and my co signer wages because of the defaulted loan?

If you do not pay your debt on time, the creditor/collection agency can file a lawsuit against you. If they get a judgment against you from the court-house, then they can garnish your wages.
