How can you dispose Chase credit card safely?

I have a Chase credit card. Chase issued me a new card after I lost the original one. After a few months, I terminated the account since the annual fee was quite high. I have tried to destroy the card through a shredder and scissor. I have failed both the times. What is the safest way to dispose it?

You can cancel and send the credit card back to Chase and explicitly tell them that you’re unable to destroy the credit card.

Send the card back and request them to dispose it. This is the best option when you can't do that on your own.

Oh! I have faced the same problem with the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. I could not destroy it even with a shredder. I sent the card back to Chase and told them to dispose it. You can also do the same.
