At good.nelly my husband owes 1665.00 and all I can pay is 300.00 now and they are threating to go arrest my husband

You can't get arrested, but they can file a lawsuit against you if they're legal in your state.

I agree with Anna. Non-payment of debt is not a criminal offense. It’s a civil offense. So you can’t get arrested for non-payment of debt. If the lender from whom you have taken the loan is not licensed to operate in your state, then they can’t take any legal action against you. You are required to pay only the principal amount to them, as they are not legal in your state.

A lot of consumers ask this question in Social Answers.

You can never be arrested for not paying a pdl. It is a civil offense.

Defaulting on a payday loan is not a criminal offense. So, you won't get arrested for non-payment of payday loans. Moreover, if the payday lender is illegal or not licensed to operate in your state, then they won't be able to take any legal actions against you.
