Dear Lender,

It has come to my attention that payday lenders must be licensed by the state of NJ in order to offer loans to its residents. Since your company has no license in my state, the loan contract I have with you is not valid.

I am also revoking authorization for ACH withdrawals and any wage assignment I may have signed. I have given a copy of these revocations to both my bank and my employer. Any future attempts to collect funds in this manner will be blocked.

After research regarding internet payday loan laws in the State of NJ, I have found that your internet payday loans are actually illegal.

I hereby revoke any and all ACH authorizations with your company from debiting any of my personal accounts, per Federal law, Regulation E Section 205.10 Preauthorized transfers. I have closed my account to protect my interest in this matter, per instructions from the NJ Department of Finance. I also revoke any and all wage assignments I may or may not have signed with your company, I no longer authorize you, your company, or your affiliates to attach any part of my wages or contact my employer for the collection purposes. I have notified my employer about this matter so any attempts to do so on your part will be rejected.

I demand that any contact be made through USPS or email only. I will need everything in writing to keep accurate records of all communication as per instruction from my Attorney General’s Office.

I prohibit you or your affiliates to contact me via telephone at my place of employment or my home telephone number. I al

I have received this last email in reference to something similiar. I have done all that you have said in the underlined paragraphs. But they keep coming with new things and this is the latest.

To revoke this wage assignment, you must follow the correct procedures which is not stating it in an email. I will pass this account over to our legal department for their review.

Thank You

And if you can't pay the principal amount, choose to settle your debts and waive off a portion of the balance.

Calculate how much you have paid in total. If you see that your payments have already covered the principal amount, then there is no need to make further payments. Stop the ACH transactions. Revoke voluntary wage assignment. Talk to the HR regarding this. Your credit score won't drop for this.

You owe principal only since all lenders are illegal in NJ. Don’t pay any interest or fees. Ask them for a refund if you have overpaid them. Close down your bank account and open a new one.

All payday loans are prohibited in NJ.  You owe principal only...no fees, no interest.  Follow the link in my signature line for information on how to deal with them.
