I have close to $55,000 in credit card debts. Most of it is tuition and fees from my graduate and undergraduate studies. I am currently looking for a job and was wondering which option would be best...settlement or consolidation. I am current on all the credit cards and have been making at least minimum payments. I would really appreciate your help in this matter. Thanks a lot

Yes, credit card debts can be consolidated but tuition fees can't! However, if they're student loans, then you can certainly consolidate them. Just give us the information whether they're student loans and whether federal or private. Consolidation is certainly a better option than settlement as it doesn't tank your credit score.

Well for the tuition and fees, you do not have the option of consolidation ...or much of a settlement.

Is it actually tuition or is it a student loan????
