FIA CARD SERVICES IS SUING ME FOR A BANK OF AMERICA CREDIT CARD DEBIT
I am being sued because I lost my job and could not pay on my credit card. My original card was held with Bank of America, however my summons & complaint shows FIA Card Services as Plaintiff and attorneys acting on their behalf. I have learned that FIA card services (formally MBNA) was aquired by BofA in 2006, but my agreement was never with FIA Card Services it was with BofA, Can FIA legally sue me when I have never heard of them nor as far as I am aware ever been notified that they are acting on BofA behalf? I want to answer the complaint but unsure if I have any legal recourse?
